The striker crack is frustrating as fuck but think we’ll get Mendy over the line soon and Mayenda is seemingly ahead of Rusyn in the pecking order and he’s at least a handful.

Agreed - but surely our second string should be competing against a League 2 side, especially if they are hoping to get their chance in the 1st team in Cups / any injuries etc

This was their chance, they've not taken it. Results in preseason don't matter but performances do. It's as much attitude as it is talent. If you can't see the failings of our transfer policy now, your in for a shock this season as its shaping up to be long and torturous

It's showed how weak our squad is, it might he an overreaction, but you an see why people are worried

As a comment I’ve just read on another post. The stunt the club have pulled with the kits is just like Donald and Salmon Pants with changing the pink seats. An easy win, that takes the focus off what is really going on.

We need to add quality to this group that has been lacking for 12 months now. We’ve brought in some players on free transfers but we need that boost in quality. Those 4 or 5 players capable of walking into the first team and taking us up the table. Also why are those clowns still apart of the backroom staff? Where are the new managers own team.

KLD you have under two weeks to get this done. If you are not the man for the job, just like a lot of us have been doing for the last 6 months+ then sell the club to someone who can.
 
Speakman has created a dynasty, the main players in the coaching staff are are his men. He has alot of power in the club and if anyone crosses him like Mowbray and Venus they are out asap...we have a very young inexperienced owner who has no real experience in running a business, He is reliant on others around him to show him the ropes, and its Speakman who is feeding him the bait...

I cant stand the egostistical prick but hes very clever. Hes got KLD buying into his bullshit and has manipulated that situation well. At his stag do etc...

Then we have his work in the academy. Hes employed his mate Stuart English to head up coaching. He can oversee coaching in the academy and what goes on behind closed doors whilst feeding back everything to him. Then he has Dodds doing the same in 1st team environment. The three of them very close and will all remain at the club as long as KS remains. Get rid of him and the rats will follow.

Incidentally if KS was this amazing Sporting Director that his PR would have you believe why is he still in the Championship? I will tell you why. Hes sub standard and any properly run football club would see his management speak for what it is. Bullshit.

A little, but it goes to prove what can be achieved when you know what you are doing. Bruce has managed to do this, pull his team together, it isn’t just him, knowing what you “suppliers” can provide and set his standard high.
Speakman is failing to do anything of the sort.
 
Giving credit where credit is due for a good marketing campaign for the kits doesn't mean you've accepted a poor transfer window.

They are not mutually exclusive.
 
Personally feel like the change in playstyle has been much better than the dross we’ve played last season. Much more aggressive press and quick counters.

It’s pre season, the squads are mixed and matched. We drew with a premier league side and genuinely had a good performance against them.

Yes we all know we need a CF and if the Mendy deal is anything to go by they have been working on it.

We don’t need much else after that imo. I think people are going into this with too many pre determined “this is shite” thoughts with no evidence to back it up

Also none of that squad from yesterday will ever play together like they did last night. Players play better with better players around them.

Let’s just give the lads a fair chance. I think this style of play will have us playing good stuff

There is also a whole MONTH left of the window. Can’t judge it till it’s done
