*~*~* Blackburn v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Should’ve been 1-3 up, 2 points dropped. Le Bris forced into making a substitution rather than freshening it up earlier.
We were lucky to not be 3-0 down after 15 mins. A point isn’t a bad a result today.
Hello Mayenda's relation. Your boy has zero composure, none. He had two meters on the ast defender and he carried the ball to the GK, he didn't shoot, knock it past him, nothing!
Very harsh. He’s shown composure in the recent past.

That 1 on 1 at the death today was very poor though.

Benefit of hindsight etc, but could have done with a defender replacing Rigg as all blackburn were doing was standing up crosses to the far post.

Yep, all they did was hump it up field and hoped it dropped which it did.

I'm not blaming him, but I've got little confidence in Patterson at the moment either. When the balls in or around the box it's often like pinball and we have little presence from our keeper.

Another late kick in the teeth - we simply cannot keep conceding late goals, if we want to finish in the top two.

After a woeful first half in which Blackburn could've been two or three goals to the good, I would've been happy with a point at full time, but after a great fightback to lead 2-1 and then missing chances to put the game to bed, it actually feels like a defeat, after conceding yet another late goal.

We really could do with a change of luck regarding injuries.
Every week, seems to see us losing yet another key player to injury.

Decent point, I think we're gunna be play offs, I dont see any improvement on the first season back in the championship though with Pritchard and diallo. Just gunna fall short I hope I'm wrong

I don’t know everything about football but aye I’d bet my left but I know more than some. And that number has certainly increased after reading some of this thread!

Just out of interest what did you disagree with in my original post?
Didn't disagree with you original post, you said that people didn't know stuff about football. All the posts i read stated the very same thing .We were piss poor first half.I agreed. Changes in attitute needed second half,i agreed.

I’m just leaving Blackburn now, and rather than trawl through this thread l, does anyone have a link to the goals? Thanks

Was Mayandas miss as bad as it looked?

Could be right and we dont want to be slaughtered every game… if we go up, and come straight back down.
We need to buy and strengthen in January.
He said, stating the bleeding obvious! 😎

We've put together an impressive and exciting first 11/12 which is great to see. Probably the best in the league. But I'm not sure we have the squad depth or ability to rotate this season, so injuries are a) more likely to happen, and b) take more toll on the side when they do happen.

But there were some moments when we were vulnerable even when in control and that was through Mayenda. The incident leading to O’Nien’s card was a result of Mayenda’s rawness and tiredness. And he looked tired prior to that.

I don’t think he played well, but I don’t think he should be crucified. The manager should have looked after him far better this afternoon.
Exactly this, i was saying from about 15 mins to go that RLB should sub him, he looked tired and wasn't defending well enough or even making passes to him . Could have done better for their 2nd goal. He even had the chance to make me look a bit stupid when clean thru at the end... honestly Eliezer i wouldn't have minded!

Lack of composure is his worst trait, he seems to have most other things nailed, he’s strong, he gets into the right positions, has a bit of pace yet every f***ing shot he takes is straight at the keeper. That one on one today was just a joke for a professional player. That is the reason why we won’t drop Isodor for him any time soon no matter how poor Wilson has been.
