*~*~* Blackburn v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Not just that, he is running young lads into the ground and we are getting injuries because of it.

I think freshness and sharpness is more of an issue that injuries. Rigg’s injury today could happen in any game at any point of the season.

With Rigg seemingly out, the owners have to solve some problems in January now.

First half we should have been three down. Second half we should have got a third.
Before the game a draw was always a good result. At half time a draw was a brilliant result. Disappointing but given their form and how good they have been defensively it’s still a good result.
Still try8ng to fathom if I'm pleased or disappointed

It seems that way. But why? There were options today. Connolly and Alese aren’t mugs. Mayenda and Isidor needed to come off. We could have shored up at the back and given Connolly the opportunity to chase them down with energy up top. I don’t get it.

It cost us today. Once we went ahead in that game it was all ours and we chucked it away IMO.
It's weird that connolly was thrown in a few times in a row when he was short of fitness and looked quite poor because of it.
But now he just be much sharper he isn't getting a kick.

Good point, would have taken that at half time, were a decent side tbf, decent January transfer window and we might make top two

The attitudes of some here is mental. We will be no more than 4 points off the top 2, and it could be 3 depending on Leeds match. We are punching with three sides that have parachute payments and we have the youngest squad in the league and a shed load of injuries. What do you expect, that we'll be 10 points clear at the top and never dropping points? We just drew and in-form, top 6 side away and are right in the conversation for promotion. Couple that with the fact that we had one of the most difficult fixture lists from November through the end of the year and to STILL be in touching distance? Most of us would've taken that all week and twice on Sunday!

We have a chance to host a promotion rival this weekend and cut the gap further. Let's get behind the lads and enjoy the ride! It's a long old season.

Let's go back to mid table L1 mediocrity to keep everyone happy then.
We have a great chance to get out of this league this season man. Such a defeatist attitude will get us nowhere. The 3 points were there for the taking. We should have slowed the game down and brought some fresh legs on.
