Black Lives Matter

Pretty horrible to gloat in this fashion. Being unemployed is awful. You don't even know the girl, the fact you find it amusing is not a good look at all.
Find it hard to have any sympathy for them personally.

So now that you see it wasn't suggesting that you are racist/misogynist, what do you think of what I typed out?
I think racism becomes a problem that needs addressing in legislation when it significantly blocks the chances of a group of people to achieve their potential or when it significantly impacts their life in a negative manner.
I believe in this country we have that, I thank we have equality of opportunity for all people.
Is there still racism in the UK, yes and plenty of it.
In comparison to other countries I can't think of anyone that does better but that is not to say there isn't room for improvement.

As a white person I can say I have never went for a job and felt the colour of my skin would effect the chances of getting the job.
If I went for a job and the panel was all black and the three guys in the waiting room with me were black I may well feel my skin colour might impact my chances.
If I go back to my parents era I think skin colour probably did have a significant impact in deciding if you get the job. Today I think it's a much less of a factor and certainly not the primary factor. This i believe is due to the fact that there are simply a lot more black people, we are more accustomed to them and therefore they are less far removed from our comfort group.

I have never been followed round a store as an adult but have as a child. I imagine that was due to the shop owner finding in their experience that most of the people stealing from him were children.

I have never noticed anyone crossing the street because of the colour of my skin although i can honestly say I have never seen anyone else cross the road because a black person was on the same side either.

For the most part when it comes to job prospects I don't think skin colour has much of a impact for the vast majority of businesses in the UK, business for the most part sees only one colour and that is green.

I think it’s funny as fuck personally. Typing this message whilst I’m at work on double time.

In other words the law doesn’t allow for discrimination therefore it doesn’t happen? Basically we need to accept that people are prejudiced and black people need to suck it up in a predominately white country?
I’d be very interested to see what strategies you would come up with to address the issues and whether you would genuinely want to.
Lol that is so not what I said.
Discrimination has happened, is happening and will happen I don't suggest otherwise. We should all strive to be better and discriminate less
We do need to accept that people are prejudiced because it's a fact of human existence, it's encoded into our DNA. prejudice is not a white thing it's a human thing and something we all share regardless of our skin colour.
prejudice between white and black and black and white lessons as we integrate as it becomes more the norm,
riots, looting, wrecking statues telling white people that their achievements are nothing and are just gifts of their skin colour does not reduce prejudice it increases as you broaden the divide.

If the goal is you want a white shop owner to be less prejudice and not follow you round the store it's probably not a good idea for a bunch of black people to loot it.

It refers to the puce coloured men who get angry at two blokes getting married on Eastenders, who are apoplectic at Easter Eggs not having the word Easter written on them (even when they do), who prefix a racist opinion with "I'm not racist, but...", who think BLM somehow means white lives don't matter.

Are you one of those?

You pigeon holeing me sweet cheeks? I'm stereotypical Male am I? What if I'm a they? So we respect all other gods but can't mention the baby Cheesas?
Whee has the Fookin problem here?
ham isn’t a race, as far as I can tell

It's a lefty slur for vast swathes of the UK Nayshun which in these snowflake times is deemed extremely offensive.....

No solutions then? just more thing that blacks people should or shouldn’t do.

Affirmative action worked well in Sooth Africa like....

Absolute shite...
I particularly liked the bit where he was stood in front of a sign that said “Islam is The Devil”. Not even a propaganda video trying to show he’s not racist can find enough footage that doesn’t include any “hate speech” in it.

Im sure the countless murdered in the name of Islam would agree with that.

I don't need to know her to know she's a racist piece of shite. Did you see her posts? If so, and that's your view you're a simpleton.

I prefer not to act as judge, jury, and executioner based on a few social media posts. Who hasn't made mistakes in life?

You and your mate Dangermows are like this boards version of the Neville brothers. Constantly rabbiting on but saying little.

I used to be a bit more ruthless and judgemental. Getting a bit older taught me humility, and that nobody is perfect.

Not being sympathetic and revelling in another person's misery are two very different things.
