Black Lives Matter

There are countless examples of black people being arrested for minor misdemeanours and even if no resistance it has ended in death. This stems back to mass incarceration by the US government which gave authorities a loop hole to the 13th amendment. They have always been branded as criminals through the media.
There are probably countless examples of the same happening to white people, Asians, Chinese etc
Is there evidence that it happens disproportionately to black people?
If there is evidence that happens disproportionately to black people I think the first thing that needs to be investigated is to find out if it happens to them simply because they are black or if it happens to them because they are a subsection of people that simply happen to be black. That would be important because to address the problem you need to identify what the problem is don't you think.

You are a cockend. I'm not the only person to think so, that has nothing to do with my political affiliation. A cock is a cock, left or right.
I’m sure you aren’t, can’t be everyone’s cup of tea sadly.
Sad to see the tolerant progressive left resorting to abuse though. Real shame.

The media again... the big player in all of this.

Posted a figure a few pages back I believe and the fact the whole movement started on the back of one of those cases due to no real changes in terms of police brutality after the Rodney King incident kind of suggests it is a problem, they aren’t making a fuss about nothing are they. Not saying it doesn’t happen there is just a higher chance a black male will die.

Apparently I’m stressed according to Salty Bollocks, really not. Happy to speak with people like you, maybe we won’t agree on everything that’s life. The reading and things I have watched gives me these views. Don’t want to see violence but changes only happen when people take to the streets

Fuck me there is some really immature petty arguments on here, the problem is you have people with totally different views trying to convince each other they are right.
I think the only fact that can come from this is that these protests started to try and bring awareness of how black people were being unfairly treated.
The result have been to divide the country even more and probably set race relations back even further.
I dont have the answers but I feel a lot of groups from all races, religious and back grounds need to able to sit down together and be allowed to speak freely, honestly and open about what they all feel this country needs otherwise protests and attacks and vandalism with drive this country further and further apart.
If that keeps happening then the minorities will keep suffering

I think the problem is that the people on the far left have their ideology and they take small sub sets of data and use them to skew the facts and warp the truth.
The people on the far right have their ideology and do exactly the same.

The vast majority of people lie in the middle and haven't got a scooby what is really going on and just side on the side who's argument seems more reasonable.
politicians have to listen to the people or they lose their job and so make policy based on peoples feelings instead of the facts.
If your base your policy on a small noisy group of peoples feelings instead of the facts you are going to make some very bad decisions.

Take this thing about the FA wanting clubs to increase black people on boards, managers and coaches.
Has this decision been based on a fact that black people are discriminated against in going for these roles or a feeling that there are not many of them in these roles so clubs must be racist at their core.
I do not know the answer to the above but it won't get answered because in the current climate we live in nobody will do the research for fear of being branded racist.
We seem to live in a world where you have the far left and anyone who disagrees with them they brand the far right and seem to have the power to end their careers.

So its convenient to be tied to the USA this week. What has this got to do with britian and our police? What other causes are we going to get behind when they arise in a different country. Are we going to get behind the imprisonment of muslims in china into concentration camps? Albinos losing arms to witch doctors in tanzania?

I look at it this way.
BLM are only bothered about disruption in civilised countries. Otherwise they would be protesting ( rioting and looting) over the situation on the African continent, where corrupt ( black) governments are allowing millions of innocent ( black) children to die of starvation and disease . That is a fact, like it or lump it, its what is real. But, as they are thousands of miles away from that continent, they are happy to have free education and welfare systems and ignore it, then destroy the place which should be home to them.Arseholes.
Black people treating black people badly isn’t racism you moron.

Police brutality and inequality, real inequality where the vast majority live on $5 a day, whilst their leaders embezzle billions is rampant in Nigeria and South Africa, I've lived there not just popped over to build a school.
Why haven't the student union mob championed these causes?
Where's the outrage?
And where's the outrage for the millions of immigrants who have built the middle east as slaves or is this just not trending on Twitter?

It doesn’t make it ok, not at all but it has nothing whatsoever to do with a movement/ discussion that is focused on race equality. It’s simply a whataboutism that’s been thrown into the mix in the absence of a relevant response.
Seeing a lot of that at present actually.

White people being killed by immigrants without all the pomp and ceremony that’s accompanied the killing of a Black career criminal in USA.

We’ve seen a full Prem league fixture list hijacked by the BLM movement whilst FIFA claim that poppies that signify the ultimate sacrifice made by the bravest of brave men and women are too political.

Another attempt to distract/ discredit based on things not relevant to the issue being discussed.
Your argument here is about as logical as saying you can’t campaign for cancer treatment if you haven’t campaigned for heart disease, diabetes and dementia as well.

The Premier League allows poppies every season so thats a moot point.
