This would be a meltdown of epic proportions if it was on the SMB.

Great day over here, don't mind that kernt writing in the paper .

Great crowd, great weather, plenty of dhhhrink:p.

Relax your kex lads and enjoy the day.

Haven't a bulls clue what's going on, but sure 'tis great.

4 wickets from and Irishman and a century for an Irishman help England defeat Ireland.

And he was saying?? :lol::lol::lol:

There is something in what this bloke says, despite the article's tone. Cricket is not like other sports, in that it needs to feed any interest in the game in other countries, especially the emerging ones, and support it where it can. I think England could do a bit more to help here, despite our crowded calendar.

I dare say we would as well but there are still a lot of blazer wearing, backward looking "old chaps" at the ECB.

Am I missing something obvious? What on earth do the ecb/England cricket team, 'owe' the Irish? :confused:

He's right about the Irish players being poached for England. That's never really sat right with me anyway, but of course we rely heavier on Saffers :eek:.

As for the ECB, I personally would like to see them help Ireland more, but this bloke needs to realise they don't HAVE to. How many other nations do we play once a year? He complains about the 'poor squad' England have sent over and the need to sell the game - again, I sympathise with his complaints but it isn't in England's best interests to pander to Ireland's every need and want at this time of the year, either side of Series' against the Aussies. Plus our reserves have comfortably beaten Ireland today. What would the first team have done?

If Ireland want to be taken seriously, they need to stand on their own two feet.

Some of the stuff is way OTT but we shouldn't be poaching Morgan or Rankin. They'd be even more competitive if they had them.

Saying that Ireland have Saffas and Aussies in their side so they can't get too holy.

These players WANT to go to England and further their career.

Also that's where the money is.

This guy is just stirring it up.
