Bit obscure - does anyone know of any charity shops that take in VHS videos?

I have tried a couple in Sunderland but they no longer take them as donations. I don'treally want to just throw them away.

Have you checked if they're worth anything?
Else just bin them.

A ridiculous format really. For a charity shop it'll be the same problem as for peoples homes, far too much space is taken by these archaic bricks.

To answer the question, no. Soz!

I've checked them all - some that are not available on DVD are going for £20+ on Amazon. Obviously I'm keeping those.

I'm having a bit of a clear out so have I lot to get rid of which I will just replace by DVD.

Er...I'd sell them sharpish. That £20 quid plus could change really quickly. Now's the time to cash in imo

The Mary Whitehorse Experience was never released on DVD and used to fetch that much for the VHS. Probably not now, as people bought them, ripped them and then sold hookie DVD copies of it.

At an old job we used to run online webshops for artists and labels - when they went bust, we would get to keep the stock. This happened with a load of Cradle of Filth stock loads of which were signed VHS. We had them up on sale for £7 for years and no one wanted one - we put them up starting at a £1 on eBay and everyone went mental by bidding over £35 each for them  Strangely, these "massive fans" had never thought of searching google instead of eBay.

If it's porn @tunstall birdman will take them off your hands
Reminds me of when we were teens at a pile back in one of the lads house's and one of them brought in a porn video and put it in the video player. We stopped playing Dom's and Darts and about 8 of us were crouching forward watching the start of blonde lass was necking on with a Mexican looking fellow on a swing. The fellow then got her tit's out sucked them, went further down pulled up her skirt and to our shock a wanger lobbed out and he started sucking it. A collective 'Arrrrgh' as we reeled back was followed by questions like 'What the fuck have you brought in?'.

Take the tapes out of the boxes and sell them as retro sandwich boxes. The hipsters will be all over that shit, you'll probably get £15 a pop.
