Biggest wastes of talents ever in football

Nowhere near the biggest waster, but Nicklas Bendtner had alot of talent, but also seemed to lack self discipline. Quite fond of dicking about.

Who was the man city kid ... Lake ? ... who was expected to be a world beater before a run of injuries ?

A big talent, but he seemed to think that he didn't have to put the 'hard yards' in. Natural talent is one thing, hard work is another, but the two must be combined to achieve elite success.

Cristiano Ronaldo style focus. Still trying to test himself and won't look back with many career regrets. Man Utd, Real Madrid, Juventus...

Stan Collymore could have been a hell of a lot more than he was.

Fergie narrowly decided on Cole ahead of him, then Liverpool broke their transfer record for him the following summer. He was great for one year, then ended up getting bombed out of there at about 25ish and was basically finished after that - did nothing much else and retired at 30.

Mental health must have played a part, but he didn’t seem to help himself in other ways either

Scored a hatrick against us for Leicester

Pogba having a season off for various reasons.

i hope he gets back on the pitch as when he is fully switched on, he’s a great player, similar to ya ya toure

David Rush by a million miles. All through school we were opposition captains and he was the best player in Sunderland easily. Should have made it big should Rushy

Things change - maybe mental, maybe physical, but it doesn't always follow that the best footballer in the playground will make it to the top.

Stan Collymore.

Had everything. Two great feet. Skill, power, pace, good in the air...

Thought he'd made it because Liverpool came calling and after that it went downhill...
Could have been so much more had he applied himself.
A waste.
