Big drop in the attendance yesterday

As You Were

Midfield
Dropped from 31k against Ipswich to 26k yesterday. Yes lots of people skint this time of year and xmas parties and xmas shopping etc but that’s still a hell of a drop. It’s just goes to show the supporters on here who are happy with the way the side are performing at the moment and a critical of those who criticise Johnson are in fact the minority not the other way around. The fans are voting with their feet.

Minority? About 3000 Sunderland fans stayed away and 26000 turned up. I would say those that were happy to turn up were in a phenomenally large majority.

Utter nonsense.

The 4 of us weren’t there yesterday with it originally being 2nd rd fa cup, we had made arrangements for a day on the drink in York. I reckon (hope) others have done similar things, time will tell

Ipswich fans boosted the crowd by a few thousand, whereas there can't have been more than a couple of buses worth of Oxford fans.
North stand looked a bit sparser than usual, but it's the away contingent that caused the biggest drop from the previous game.

2200 tractor boys, 300 Oxford.

Plus, people had booked weekends away when it was a free weekend.

Plus, we have been playing shite.

22000 s card holders so probs really only a drop of cupla those paying on the day. Not bad really.

Wonder how many PL clubs and Chship attendances we beat regardless ?

It 'goes to show' nothing of the sort man.

Three of our group had made other plans when we got knocked out of the FA Cup. Other people will have swapped shifts at work becasue they thought we had no game.

Additionally, attendences are also worse at the start of December than any other time and Oxford brought 1,000 ish fans compared to Ipswich's 3,000. Our attendences are great and you are trying to make the numbers fit your perception and you are 100% wrong.

Could be wrong but I don't think anyone is happy with the way we're performing at the moment.
