Bid rejected for Clarke

Burnley are a really good club with a promising coach and a decent squad. Their short and medium term prospects are better than ours.

Alongside that, they will be able to offer better terms to Clarke. If he was to go there and do well (even if Burnley went down), he’d do his career prospects the world of good.

I’d like him to say, he’s a very good player at this level, but it’s not a bad move for him if he makes it.
He means we get bigger crowds than Burnley that’s all

they've signed winger Luca Koleosho, surely clarke won't be going now.

Think where going to have to get used to selling top players unfortunately, it's clearly the model that we have, sign young players develop them and sell them on for a profit, will break some hearts If he left but he wont be the last

Softens the blow when the money is right tho, which clearly isn't, or hasn't been the case as of yet.

Burnley will not be chasing Clarke exclusively. They will have other targets in mind.
They will be aware of any buy out clauses in respective players contracts.
If they meet the clause in Clarke's contract then the club will be obliged to let him and his agent negotiate with them.
They are a well run club and will stick to their budget. So our best hope of keeping JC is that they sign a player to fill his prospective spot for a fee that then allows them to pursue other targets for different positions.
He will leave though, if the money is right for us and the contract is right for him.

He's the biggest fanny on Twitter like. Wasn't he crying when they got taken over?

Think a lot of our fans give him too much attention tbh. Folk should stop following him on social media, and then they'd not be able to see the bollocks he posts. Wouldn't be surprised if he's on a wind up half the time just for the hits on his account.

Without wanting to be incredibly controversial, im not sure he's said owt wrong there.

North East reporter in his bio but by his own explanation there he can’t manage to cover more than one team in pre season. Sounds like he’s not fit for the job. No one’s asking him to be there, just to report on it. If I was that bad at my job I’d be sacked straight away.

He’s basically admitting he’s not up to the job. None one’s asking him to be there just to report on it, which he hasn’t.

Well, that's your definition of the job as opposed to whoever is setting his remit. If he wasn't doing as asked, you would assume he would be pulled for it, no?
