Bid rejected for Clarke

Why did Brentford get £30m for Watkins then and £20m for benrahma AND Stoke got £16m for Souttar?

I could go on
I will refer you back to my original post about making random comparisons to other players in order to formulate a valuation. Of course sometime clubs get top money for a player for a variety of reasons and sometimes they don't, there have been plenty of bargain signings too.

So we can't be one?

Why would we want to sell our best player for a bargain when he is contracted to us for years? That's the part that you're missing out in all your posts. Obviously you're biased against us but that doesn't mean we should sell our players for less than our perceived value of them.

I have not placed an actual valuation Almiron have I?

I am just pointing out the valuation a lot of people here have on Clark is not based on reality.

It is pretty ludicrous to say that Clark is worth more than Almiron and no expert or neutral fan would think this. While it is not perfect just look at both players on Transfermarkt for example (where funnily enough Jack Clark is valued at €12m - which is more or less what Burnley have apparently bid for him)
Using Trasnfermarkt isn’t accurate at all really.

Trippier is 11m euros on it, does that mean Clarke is more valuable than Trippier?

So are they just constantly offering £9m?
When we were selling our house we had someone come for a viewing, love it, come back for a second viewing, still love it, and tell us they'd be in touch very soon with an offer.

Offered 10% under the asking price. I said 'no' immediately, don't even need to speak to my wife as that's absolutely nowhere near acceptable. 24 hours later, 2nd offer was about 2k higher 😄. Go away and stop taking the pi55.

This is Burnley, except Burnley are offering about 40-50% below asking price.
