Bid rejected for Clarke

Let’s face it. If a bid is accepted he’ll probably go. Now that doesn’t mean he wants to go, it’s just the way it goes with transfers.

Like I said earlier. You don’t bid 7m for a 20m+ player.

I just can’t see us entertaining these bids. As pointed out, the sell on clause alone will eat into a lot of profit.

For those debating his worth. Jack Clarke was seen as one of best prospects in the country. Unfortunately he made the wrong move. He now has the right pathway and clubs will be very keen get him.

Any chance you could direct me to the post # where I said this please mate?
"Stats don't speak for themselves at all"..which suggests you simply don't acknowledge them at all. I've already said i don't like stats but you can't just ignore Clarke's stats last season, simply impossible.

Hope not. He does another year here similar to last year and he could get himself a really decent move, and obviously we would get to utilise him again. Fingers crossed he stays.

100% mate. I honestly think another season here would be best for both parties.

There’s nothing to say he would start every week for Burnley. Stop here, hopefully get promoted. If not then move on.

I think he needs another season like last to be worth anywhere near £20mill but having said that. Burnley seem to be doing their business on the cheap so far

Personally think he should be aiming higher than Burnley. Should stay with us one more season at least and if we don't get promotion, join one of the bigger premier league teams.

Alex Scott from Bristol City rumoured to be valued around 22 million with West Ham interested. Different position to Clarke I know but he has much less impact on a game than Clarke

Where did he make a wrong move?

Buendia went for a lot more a couple of years ago from Norwich to Villa and didn't have the assists and goals Clarke had last season.

Christ, what a ridiculous interpretation you’ve made. Stats don’t speak for themselves as performances are a bigger barometer. It’s not even close to saying I don’t take note of them at all! If we’re going to debate something let’s not start making things up!
