Bi-fold doors cost

We had a 3 door white aluminium one for 3k about a year ago.

They are great when the weather is nice but the frames are cold in the winter - I am persuading the boss to rig up some thick curtains.

If I made the decision I would have had French doors instead.

For the past 5+ or so years. The aluminium frames became a lot less expensive over the past few years.

FFS mate, you don't just buy a lintel and get someone to fit it, there's enough idiots in the building game that don't know what they're doing without doing that.

There’s blokes on Homes Under the Hammer that can install a new kitchen, bathroom, windows, central heating and re wire for that!

Evening! Just after some advice re bifold doors for those that have had them installed. We’ve converted a double garage and wanting 5 doors along the back of the room. Had a quote today for 12k which I thought was high. It did include a lintel but I thought it seemed high, although I have no prior experience to base this on.

We have 5 m doors , 5 panels , anthracite was just over 5k. Looks lush and class to open

We’ve had a few quotes in from builders for an extension, all we’re looking around £1k/m for bifolds. 12k seems a lot, what were the frames made of solid gold?

Usually NOT it's considered permitted development, but check and always get the "no you don't" In writing.

Doing mine right now. No PP, but I did have to raise a request for building regs. Cost £200 or so iirc. Actually, he's due round today to check on the floor before the top goes on. Window fitter due today anarl, can't wait!
