Better than Sheff United

We’re not playing well at the moment and momentum is moving against us, it could be a long hard slog just to get through the next 12 canes and I’m not expecting a huge haul of points (circa 15).

Somehow we will need to turn that around to hit the play offs on fire, a real challenge for the management team.

Not sure. Haven't see enough of the alternatives. The manager needs to pick one who he thinks can give us more control of over a match and stick with him over a run of matches. One that isn't currently starting.
I can’t think of anyone from the bench who can do that role. I think what you’re describing is a leader and we haven’t had one for a very long time.

I think we’ve been better than them for most of the season, they’ve carried some incredible luck.
How many of their games have you watched?

Not sure you've watched many of our games if your seemingly thinking we're unlucky.

They've won the most games in the league. To call that luck is mental.

Every team can look back and say “if we didn’t drop points at XYZ”. Yes, more do for us but it’s daft looking back. We are 4th for a reason and well in playoffs with a slim chance of Autos. Win the next game and move on.

Some people live in their own world

How have we been better than them?

We’ve been scraping results for about 4 months

What games do you watch if you think we play good football?
On our day we are. I base this on the games against Sheff utd and Burnley as well as what I've seen of the other teams on sky.

As said in the rest of the post you quoted, it's our inconsistency and performances against lesser teams which let us down.

Said it on numerous threads, look back to the last couple of times Sheff UTD were in the championship? People said the EXACT same thing, and they just have a unnerving ability at grinding wins out without playing well.

They'll go up as runners up..... and come back down on 14 points.

I do, however, think if we went up through the playoffs we would finish above them next season, as I think a lot of our players have higher ceilings than their bunch.

Even from the 4 or 5 games I’ve seen them this season they should have about 10 points less than what they have.

But then we got lucky against Boro away and Leeds home with two spawny OGs and picked ourselves up 4 points instead of 1 from them. Just off the top of my head

So your point falls down pretty quickly.

All teams get degrees of luck. To say their 2nd on pure luck after 34 games is mental.

They deserve to be there and imo will end up there at the end of the season on at least 94 points.

Much rather Sheffield United at Wembley than Burnley
If we get there I think that’s who we’ll play.
Burnley will get second place imo.

They just don’t concede goals and now Edwards is in their side they look far more threatening going forwards. When you look at the fixtures of both I think Burnley will finish with more points than the Blades.
