Best writer you’ve ever read

I like simple but engrossing writing so I’m going to say Paul Brickhill. He wrote ‘The Great Escape’ and ‘The Dambusters’. Great films, but far, far better books. He also wrote ‘Reach for the Sky’ with Douglas Bader. I loved reading all of them.
 
Depends what mood I'm in tbh. It's a bit like films, sometimes you want something to think about, other times you want big daft explosions.

I can really enjoy a Dan Brooooooon book as well, because I take things for what they are - it's not pretending it's anything but holiday reading.

I do enjoy a 99p kindle gamble as well. Found loads of very good stuff.
