I've only seen test cricket in England so wont have seen as many as some on here but Id go with Yousuf (192) at Headingley.

Seen Pietersens double ton against the West Indies, but some of the bowling was very poor.

I have only seen Test matches in England. David Steels first innings against Australia in 75 was brave - not many runs, 50odd, but a brave knock against Lillee and Thomson who had England 46-4 before lunch on the first day. Saw Border's 200 against England at Headingley that wasn't bad but he best without a shadow of adoubt was Gary Sobers in 1966 at Headingley getting 176. I went by myself aged 13. The best thing about it, as I was told some years late, was that he had been up drinking until about 4 am.

This post is a bit "look at me", but interesting nonetheless. Sobers's drinking exploits were apparently legendary. Have you read his autobiography? One year at Lords he scored 140 after being out all night drinking at the Hippodrome. On the only occasion I saw him he scored 21 in 72 minutes and the Windies only scored 190 off 98 overs in the day.

His surname was ironic then.

Only one i remember was Ian Bell vs Bangladesh, Chester-le-Street 05. 162* of 168 balls
Probably the only notable test one I've seen too. Didnt impress me at time. More of a twenty20 innings. Their bowling was club 2nds standard

It was not meant that way. But wont bother again.

George Bailey taking Swann for 28 off an over in Perth would have been canny but I decided to have a lie in and turn up after lunch instead

Saw Colly block 75 to save a game on day 5 at Cape Town but it was pretty dull to watch. Haven't been to many home tests unfortunately.

Losing effort, but John Crawley's attempt to save the Test v Australia on day 4 + 5 in 1997. Basically faced Warne from one end and McGrath/Gillespie from the other pretty much on his own as the rest of the side collapsed.

Jarvad Miandad and Imran Khan at the Oval in 1987. Miandad had a canny knock - about a 200 partnership with Malik. Then had a 190 partnership with Imran. I was only there for the day so missed Malik's. The innings wan't explosive or out, just a steady heads down keeping the score board over and despatching the loose ball. It was like watching an energised Boycott :D

Pietersen 158 v Australia at the Oval in 2005. Incredible innings and a great feeling of euphoria started building around the ground as he kept taking the game further away from the Aussies and it was inevitable that the urn was coming home.

Seen Graham Thorpe notch a ton against windies at old trafford on a quick pitch with stone of their bowlers nearing 100mph. . later in the day Lara got his 10,000th test run then got out shortly after

Ian Bell 199 against South Africa at Lords in 2008 was a brilliant batting display.
