I don’t think the PL has ever sunk so low tbh. The financial situations, the fact there’s almost two different leagues playing out financially and in results and our teams getting battered in Europe

Looking at the league table there are 5 or 6 different leagues within a league.
An 8 point gap from 3rd to 4th place.
A 10 point gap from 5th to 6th place.
A 9 point gap from 13th to 14th place.
A 5 point gap from 15th to 16th place.
Then another 5 point gap from 18th to the bottom two who look doomed.
It's just not competitive at all any more, just because there happens to be a bit of a battle for the title for once doesn't make it so either.

As a place to enjoy football it’s Germany by a gazillion miles. Personal opinion obviously but it’s just so much more enjoyable and less corrupt.

There is a lot of nuance and ambiguity. Nothings been put to bed last night due to a penalty shoot out between City and Madrid.

Could Forest beat Celta Vigo? We don’t know. But strength of league cannot just be defined by the very elite sides.

But Forest are one of ten European cup winners from England. That’s more than any other country.

Back then a lot of European countries only tended to allow 2 forrin players per team in their leagues. English clubs allowed unlimited forriners. Liverpool even won it with only one Englishman in the team iirc.
