Would have been nice to have given him a decent send off. Weaken our middle order even further if Scotty & Stokes are on Full England/Lions duty.

Can't help think Durham have missed a trick here. Should be Geoff Cook's replacement. Colly obviously pushed for John Lewis and now looks like Colly will be on his way.
Talk last year that Benks and family were homesick appears to be a load of shite now.

Money for an overseas player available it would've thought. Any thoughts? Would have to be someone not picked up by the IPL. Australia, South Africa and New Zealand have a free summer, so maybe someone from there.
 
First of all well done Omega man, brilliant bit of inside information to disclose this on this site weeks ago, not a mention of it anywhere else, it really justifies supporters forums in any sport when information like this can be disclosed to others.

We've lost two former captains to Hampshire in one winter, how the hell did that happen? Geoff gone too. Hopefully Colly won't be offered the England gig permanently. The pressures on Lewis to produce now.

Funnily enough i seem to remember a couple of lads going round collecting signatures to petition the club to name a stand after him. I think the club refused coz they wouldn't name a part of the ground after anyone still playing.

Well now he's retired....

said a while back during the benks v colly rumoured power strugglea crucial difference may be benks commitment to us as opposed to collingwood undoubtedly would skip on us to take the england job.

whilst i wouldn't begrudge benks leaving us for a south african test team job i think that that is a long way off whilst given england's calamities it was never going to be long before they came calling...
