We’ve already got three pretty experienced CB’s that could do that if you include Mukiele.

Not many can, in any position. His quality was missed more than his leadership whilst he was out IMO.

That was the basis of my attempt at mild humour, replicating a hypothesis often shared on this forum.

Can't have two right backs on 100k a week, when we have so many other priority areas to target.

It's a position that we don't really need to worry about with Nordi and Hume there. There's other areas where money would be better spent.

If he represents good value for money based on his age, fee and contract then I don't see why we wouldn't consider signing players like him.

Need a good mix of youth and experience. Xhaka has proven how invaluable experience can be to a young squad like ours.

Things like this all depend on what our budget limitations are.

If it was up to me, I would be putting a significant portion of any available budget to strengthening our RW position. A left-footed right winger with pace- as high quality as we can afford / realistically get. That's the priority for me.

After that, would be looking to get players who strengthen the team overall. Would say LB, ST, DM are probably positions we could use additional depth in ahead of RB.
