Seeing as how it hasn't been posted yet, I just thought I'd mention that the results of his scan were good and he can resume full training straight away.

Although it's a bit soon for 1st team inclusion, he can start playing some cricket from this week, I'd guess he'll play for the Academy at Benwell Hill on Saturday.
 

Good news. Would love to see him in the team for the first test - think he could be a real star for England over the years
 
Good news. Although I still have half a suspicion that he may figure next week at Somerset, what with our current injury plight!

Of course we don't want to hurry him back too quickly but you get the feeling from his interviews and such that he's quite ready in himself to come back now.
