Currently flitting between joy and crippling fear and have been the last few months.
Piss takes are welcome, feel free.
Enjoy it mate, it’s absolutely great.
Aye it’s stressful when they’re poorly, crying, not sleeping etc.
But nowt comes close to the enjoyment, love and happiness.
Also get a Ewan the Sheep. Best £40 you’ll spend.
If the bairn is a boy and you're changing his nappy be aware that he may do a massive arc of piss that can hit you in the eye

I have found the opposite, Hated the new born stage because she didnt sleep whatsoever for longer than an hour for around 4 months.First 18 months are a piece of piss, gets interesting after that.
Class though.
Colour me intrigued.

Puppies. White noise helps yesI don’t think this is the stretch you think it is.
Surely it’s just the same as playing heartbeat sounds to puppy’s and that?
Yes I’m justifying the 40 quid I’ve just paid but the logic does seem sound…
Good for you, it's great. It's a shock when you get the babby home and realise it's your responsibility and nobody else is stepping in, but you just live it. There's no great answer, be patient with your lass who'll be like you but with hormonal changes, massive body changes and recovering from the worst pain she is likely to have endured and will have lots more to deal with. You'll feel redundant at times and be knackered but just do what you can and be prepared to live with interrupted sleep. One of mine didn''t sleep through the night for over two years, we were both wrecks but he was a bit of magic in our lives and I loved that time. CongratulationsFirst one due in early May.
