That track is canny steep over the tops to the B6277, but is good fun on the downhill bit on the other side.

Was it misty early doors? Left Sunderland 8am for middleham and the A1 was a blanket of mist till about scotch corner. I couldn't get over 90.

used to love fishing Burnhope. Used to float fish worm off the dam wall. my son caught his first fish there. he was aged 7.
Used to fly fish there as well. Beautiful location but I think its private fishing club now.

Worm on a bubble float. The little bay about 150yards along the left hand side if you were looking from the dam was a cracking spot

Why is that mate? Is it unavailable for fishing, or us it lack of interest? I fished a bit as a youngun, I fished tunstall, and Ive seen the signs for burnhope but never fished there

Walked around there with the dogs on New Years Eve when we rented an old farmhouse at Ireshopeburn. Nice little route.
