Beat Everton

The mentality of we are not even thinking of Europe is pissing me off. Why not? Weve shown we can take points from anyone on our day.

All this bollocks about squad depth etc is all solvable.

I wont be dissapointed if we miss out. Id be dissapointed that we didnt give our all for it.
Same arseholes who said we shouldn’t get promoted probably mate

It's been a great season and I am staying humble. But I am also a bit skint, and us finishing in the top 10 would help alleviate that. So I'd humbly ask Mr Xhaka and co to do their best to make it happen.

But if not, still jolly well done lads.

Means the last game of the season isn't a dead rubber.
So annoying 2 points from 3 games and still in with a little chance.
If we turned them draws into wins which we could easy of bar some horrendous decisions we would be favourites for a spot.
Small margins
What horrendous decisions
Even before VAR there were good and bad decisions
Be fair without VAR we would likely not have been promoted

Going in to the season my main wish was just to stay up. But one of the few others was to finish above a big team who are bigger and better than we are. We’ve done that. Probably the biggest team we have finished higher than is the FA Cup winners Crystal Palace. But we have also finished higher up than Nottingham Forest who were in Europe this season. And we’ve finished above West Ham United and biggest of all Tottenham Hotspur. Not to mention Newcastle United. Each one of them are bigger and have better name players than we have and of course have years of experience in this league so should by virtue of their experience should be finishing above newly promoted teams every season. There teams have fans who will be scratching their heads and quite possibly will be furious at how a newly promoted team with a bunch of relative unknown’s we have was able to finish above them when they have years on us.

So whether we beat a team who is even bigger and better again than the biggest and best team below us is irrelevant. It’s still been a phenomenal season.

I'll be very surprised if we beat Everton.
Their form is almost identical to ours but it will be a tough game.

I’d like to see us hit 50 points and win one more match. It would cap one of, if not THE best season in my lifetime.

Chelsea on the final day probably represents a better chance of getting that win though.

You think that to professional football people the international playing players we signed were relative unknowns?

Most of them were also playing champions or Europa league football last season.

Just because most of our fans didn't know some of them is irrelevant. The recruitment was exceptional and the only unknown was if they could gel as a team imo.

But they have players way bigger and better in every aspect including name than our players. I’d happily trade any one of ours for one of theirs.

But it’s not just Everton. Every other fellow Premier League team is bigger and better than we are to some degree. They have years of experience on us and have bigger name players. I’d happily trade Palace’s FA Cup for the day we get mentioned in the same breath as Palace. Or indeed Wolves or Fulham. When we are the same level as them will be the crowning glory of our ascent to the Premier League.

Can’t agree with this my friend, although that Jimmy Garner is such a good player, I’d probably swap him for Xhaka, Sadiki and Roefs.

Even without Europe, we haven't hit 50 PL points since Reidy's two 7th place finishes, nor finished in the top 10 since Bruce 2010-11. So in addition to finishing above the Saudis and trying to get as much money as possible by finishing higher, there is still plenty to play for.
