[BBC] Miners' Di Canio protest 'will only end with Sunderland campaign support'

An Antis fascist Campaign would be a bit like a campaign to eradicate the tigers roaming Hamsterley Forest - a bit pointless because there aren't any;)

I'm sure I saw brown shirted elements of the Hitler youth walking past my window just this morning, quickly followed by a mob of banner waving supporters of General Franco's reign in Spain. However, there's seems little or no support for Mussolini's black shirts around these parts :-O

I think I'll start a campaign to round up all the aliens from space ;)

They were unsustainable and bringing the country to its knees everytime they went on strike.

Had the NE focused on education and knowledge based industries we wouldn't be in the state we are currently in. These people are parasites, they have nothing better to do with their time and that makes them dangerous.

They have in effect got the club in a corner now, if the club do not support them they will label them as fascist sympathisers.

Thatcher loving Tory boy.

My brother lives in Millfield and says that there was a recent protest against the Mosque involving 100 police and road blocks.

He sounded concerned.

He should have been. The parking is terrible round there.

You may mock, but just let's see. The Nazi party started with a few blokes meeting in a back room of a Munich pub.

The younger generation do not see. If they're asked a question about the past they reply: "before my time, mate." They are historically illiterate.

Fascists will latch on to the least bit of support they can see.

I spoke to my dad about all this - he is a former Wearmouth miner, stood on picket lines etc and has spoken to this Hopper on several occasions.

He is staunch Labour and very much a union man - but also a season ticket holder for many years and is at Chelsea tomorrow - I wondered what he made of all of this.

They don't speak for me - Leave the banner in the car park, stop all of their freebies and tell them to fuck off was his measured reply.

:eek::-D

Ah yes..The DAP or German workers party, let´s not forget the socialist roots there.
During the pre-war years the Nazis recruited a lot of members from the communist party

Dear Diary, we have appeared to have finally found a mine open in the North-East! Our hours, days, months and years of searching has finally paid off!

25th of May, 10.30am.

Upon further inspection it appears to be a rabbit burrow.

Doesn't mean the Nazi party was communist in nature; it means Germany was in a right old state and there were a lot of petty criminals and thugs roaming around with not a great deal in the way of political principles - and so quite easily switched sides.

Nazism was driven by racial ideology; Communism is driven by economics. That is the reason for those philosophies being in existence. Put simply, Nazism saw the world as a battle between races; Communism views the world as a battle between classes.

Just because 'social' appears in the full Nazi title, does not in any way, shape or form suggest that the Nazi party was socialist in nature. 'Social' meant the individual subordinate to the state - but for a completely different reason and purpose that that which exists under Socialism or Communism.

Also, within Nazism or Fascism there is room for capitalist enterprise. Fascism originated as a half way way house between the perceived excesses of Capitalism and Communism.

In sum, Nazism, or Fascism, are only like Communism or Socialism in that all 4 are anti-liberal democracy - but that's your lot.

What right do they have to demand we do anything. They are taking the piss now

While the banner / history is important, we can't be held to ransom by this prick who doesn't even represent the views of a lot of ex miners based on what i've heard and read on here

They are trying to raise the profile of themselves and get a bit free publicity, he can fuck off

I'd rather the club give him the banner back and do something to work with ex miners and their family's directly who are the people who matter in all of this

Exactly this. They get shown the respect thru free tickets and hospitality but they have no say in the club now. I bet those tickets never get passed down to regular miners. Give them their flag back tell them their executives are no longer welcome and start inviting ex miners directly

could be worse like, he could be accused of child abuse, imagine the horror of that? I would throw myself in front of a train if anyone accused me of that

These are just opportunist left-wing wankers. The club should ignore them.

The club should join an anti-fascist group because they haven't hired a fascist (as the group defines it)? I don't think so.

Well, it's only taken us 100 years to realise what a bunch of self-aggrandising pricks the left are. Shame the country didn't catch on years back - we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.

The SMB's leftie posters are some of the biggest fascists on here.

They stalk every thread waiting for the chance to jump into any discussion with accusations of racism, bigotry etc. They really are the biggest hypocrites - they consider themselves liberal and the bastion of tolerance, when in fact they are intolerant of anyone who doesn't toe the line with their self-important view of the world. They want to discredit and silence opposing views using cheap, cliché-ridden insults. How liberal of them.

That's just one side of the argument, tbf. Far right wing politics is just as bad. It's all explained in Orwell's Animal Farm - an easy read of less than 100 pages.
