BBC Comedy 'Outside Edge'

Anyone remember this cricket comedy that was on BBC1 about fifteen years ago? It had Barry off Auf Wiedersehen Pet in and even though it was a comedy it seemed to have no jokes in it.

I remember it like, it was on granada plus a few years ago too. I remember the bloke with the tash always trying to cop a feel of Marilyn iirc

I remember it, had a decent cast - Timothy Spall, Brenda Blethyn, Josie Lawrence, Roger Dawes and Cassandra's dad from OFAH.

It wasn't funny like.

It was based on a play which I acted in once. Never meant to be side-splittingly funny - more observational character comedy. I thought it mined the deep vein of humour surrounding village cricket fairly successfully.
