Batth to Norwich ** confirmed **

I agree with this, i just disagree with the decision that batth shouldn't be a starter. Based on what you say, yes letting him go was the right move for the player
Fair enough. I disagree you saying Batth would make us more solid without sacrificing any attacking play.

I just don’t see how that’s possible. I can’t argue Batth wouldn’t make us more solid, as he probably would. But to say he wouldn’t make us any less attacking is not right imo.

in the KLD reign we’ve signed

Winchester
Evans
Pritchard
Batth
Defoe
Dack

You could even argue Roberts was experienced at 24 years old. We also have O’Nien.

To say “we are not interested in any form of experience us just wrong”
Other than dack we've got rid of allmost all of them mind and would have got rid of Pritchard if we'd found a buyer

We just don't agree, i don't think we'd stand still or go backwards by playing batth ahead of 09, i think we'd have a more solid defence and i don't think it would impact on us going forward either.

Basically it's a gamble of short come vs income, similar to selling stewart. We've sold two good players and bought five replacements, hoping that we'll be better off in the long run. IMO we'd unquestionably be better off now with batth and Stewart but we've swapped that to be somewhat worse off now but better in a season or two.

With Stewart im totally onboard, his contract situation and the fee we got for him was topper. Batth i don't agree it was necessary - but as ive said above, we're playing well enough to cover the deficiency

That's fine, personally, I see it as nothing similar to Stewart. I don't think his wages will have been an issue at all and it wouldn't have been a financial decision.

I think if you take Batth and 09 you have two slightly above-average championship centre-backs with very different attributes, one suits our style of play, and the other doesn't. Then you have Seelt who I believe they feel will have a ceiling far higher and then numerous cover behind that, it's too many to keep so the obvious to lose is the one that no longer fits.

that's fair, he certainly hasn't the range of passing of 09, but if hume is going to sit in DM 10 yards ahead of him i don't see that as an issue.

going forward we're certainly good enough. at the back you can see already, just like against luton in the playoffs, we can still be bullied and that's a problem we haven't address, we've actually gone backwards on IMO

I think the Luton match is a total outlier tho. We proved it time and time again that season like away to Millwall we could do it. We just didn’t have any form or height or defence that game.

It's not wrong, TM had to fight tooth n' nail for Dack. Wanted to keep Baath, wants to keep Pritchard (even though the club are pushing to show him the exit door). Defoe was a desperation signing that back fired, Winchester was signed before KLD was confirmed as buying into club. Evans, will be shown the door once fit.

I mean come on. He’d had his foot in the door in the November.

Again. To say we have no interested in experience is wrong. You can’t argue.

If you said we’re focusing on youth and have a couple of experienced players I’d agree. The fact is we’ve signed and still play with experienced players.

Also I’m not arsed what TM wants. He’s head coach. Not manager. He needs to get on with his job. He’s got Dack. He’s got Pritchard. We have Evans to come back in and we have O’Nien.

2 of the goals we conceded over the 2 legs they put the ball into the area occupied by Gooch and Pritchard.

Yep. As I say, a total outlier. But people are using that game to justify keeping Batth.

Like as if that game had our current defence playing, and if only Batth had been here it wouldn’t have happened.

Fact is we had pretty much all out defence out.

Like Danny Batth? He did well for us and should still be here. If Ballard gets injured its a lottery as to what happens.

O’Nien can’t defend apparently, even though only Leicester have conceded fewer goals than us this season.
Unfortunately Onien will get very little praise from our fans when he plays well but he’s fuked the minute we concede a goal where he was closest to the player who’s scored. Unfortunately our fans want a 6,4 brute who wins everything in the air and totally overlook all of Oniens footballing qualities. He’s also not bad at all in the air for not being your typical big Centre half!

Like Danny Batth?
Again. Where is this view point come from?

We didn’t have any defenders or height that game. It’s a complete one off.

People are using that game as a justification to keep Batth. Like we shouldn’t have played that defence, we should have played Batth instead.

It’s just a nonsense argument.
