I think the 2011 team's midfield was better but the forward line is better in the 2015 version. Rakitic is excellent but he is no peak Xavi, however Suarez is better than Pedro and Neymar is better than Villa

and Busquets is playing the best he has ever played - and Iniesta is more mature.

Towards the end the tippy-tappy had been sussed and had become sterile.

Barça's second goal last night was sublime - as good as anything Guardiola's side had managed.

and they have 2 keepers way above the level of Valdes.

The whole side is defensively a lot more secure.

For me it's a no-brainer - the current side are the best I've ever seen - and they are still on an upward curve!

They've got arguably the best right back, left back and centre back in the world. Their other centre back was one of the best players at the world cup and in front of them they have the best midfielder in the world
Shit

They'd be lucky to be above us if they were in the premier league.

We'd win the SPL if we entered it, and Spanish football, aside from the three top teams, is about the same standard as the SPL.

Sacrilege! :(

In fairness Neymar is a better fit for Barca than Villa was. Villa needed to play through the middle and was playing second fiddle to Messi. Enrique for me has found the right balance now with the front three, its less focused on Messi which means you get a lot more from Suarez and Neymar whereas in the past the other forwards have acted as a Messi support act.

Its been very impressive to see Suarez and Neymar really step up with Messi out injured, Enrique is really managing the situation well.

Valencia got the most out of Villa, he was always a lot more than a goalscorer and flourished being the main man. You can't blame him for moving to Barca and being apart of what that squad achieved though.
