111-3 off 28. We are looking at 250 maybe here.

Should be enough really. But it could be a tight finish.
tipped earlier on this thread. 247 and england win by 15

though, if these lads bat through to at least 40 overs, we could get 270 plus, which will definitely be enough

Morgan is a very good player. He has a knack of getting runs without anyone noticing.

This shows the error of judgement in not picking Morgan in the first place. Morgan himself seemed surprised that they thought he wouldn't be fit.

Bit strange that they were allowed to bring him in for Pietersen. Is this a new rule?

nope happened during the last world cup too. I thought it was strange he didn't get a squad place presumed that they thought he wouldn't make it till at least the semi's. He's our best ODI player by quite some way and the best thing about him for me is when he wants or we need a boundary he more often that not gets one.

I'm not sure but the aussies did the same bringing Hussey in for Bollinger

nice to see the Irish and South Africans continuing there solid world cup......sorry wrong thread............actually right thread

I don't really understand the review system at times. That ball was clearly canonning into off stump and yet it still stays with the onfield call.

not sure but i think it is for this world cup. they have to get permission from the ICC. i think a few players have been brought in.

possibly tahir from south africa could be another leaving as he broke a bone in taking a return catch the other day in the england match.

the saffers are to make a decision if he is going to stay

134 for 3 off 33

morgan 46
trott 44

now will we have a decent batting power play for once?

247 is looking well on now imo

hawkeye isn't 100% correct so if only half the ball is hitting the top, leg or off stump then it will stay will the on feild umpire who has the best view.

I would love if they could get umpire cam now that would be worth watching.

that would be interesting. i am pretty sure they once put a camera, in a batsmans helmet, so a small camera, fitted to the front of the umpires chest area, like the astronaughts had on the moon landings, should be possible

Isn't it only something like 2milimetres out at most. For me, there can be no doubt that ball was hitting off stump and so it should be given out, regardless of the on-field decision

they can't prove for definate that its 2 milimetres and we may as well not bother with umpires if they are constantly over ruled.

The only problem I have with the system now is the 2.5m rule

bollocks

It's Alison Mitchell by the way. Never heard of her before.

heard of her usually on one of the talk shows on 5live and does some stuff when wimbeldon is on. She isn't that bad tbf better than oakley and the west indian women anyway

Agreed. She doesn't scream like Oatley - that's how I didn't think it was her.

wouldnt mind seeing us playing a few shots against the spinners. it isnt spinning and we are content to score 4 an over against them.

230-240 is still on if we don't lose a load of quick wickets.

Should be another good game this.
