I used to see them doing it in what I think is U17 where it joins U18. I can't remember if there were boxes there.

Have you tried contacting the clubs health and safety officer? See what they say about moving the mics or something.

Your petition is dead in the water mate, not one is signing that.

There are however plenty on here who share your frustration.

Imagine watching that goal back on tv and instead of the hearing the Roker Roar, you hear some moron smacking the shit out of a metal hording. Utter selfishness if you ask me.

I mean I get the bang of der der der der der der der der Sunderland chant during the game. It helps out. But why do it after the goal man? Makes no sense, unless you think the noise you make is better that the 40 odd thousand fans screaming in delight after we score against the mags?

One of the mag journalists reported it today … in the telegraph I think.
It is tin pot, it is cheap and it undermines how we are perceived on tv .
I can’t hear it in the ground… but as soon as I watch it back on tv Iam thinking it wasn’t like that.
It’s shit and someone should tie together the hands of the perp and chain him to his seat with a gonk mask on.

I worked out what this noise is at the mags game. I was right at the end of the row in the concourse next to the side bit of the wall / roof. Basically there is a metal sheeting type thing what runs the full length of that wall attached to the concrete. Its loose in places, not mega loose but loose enough that its loud as fuck when you bang your hand against it. The noise is not proportional to the minimal effort it takes. I brayed on it pretty much the full game

Heard it on the telly at Stamford Bridge when they scored v Arsenal weirdly enough. The exact same sound too. Maybe it’s sky piping it in artificially?
