It only started happening after the new metal boards got put in under the boxes a few years ago. A lot of the other ones would do it until they were told to stop. The volume is enormous when you're right next to it and breached health and safety regulations apparently. That's what someone sitting next to us said, anyway.

It also just sounds shite.

Club needs to sort it out then. Getting pulled on it on here. It is shite and ruins the roaring from the crowd. Reminds me of the games on MoTD early rounds of the FA Cup.

I wasn't able to make the game on Tuesday, so rewatching the highlights is the closest I can get to being there. All I could tune into was the tin pot banging. I can't understand why anyone thinks it sounds better than hearing the whole crowd going nuts?

This is superb. Some of the scenes are unbelievable. And without the awful tin pot banging noises.

I’ve seen the lad do it & people in the boxes sometimes will copy him, & for anyone’s attention they’re made out of aluminium, don’t mind it to get a chant going but not as has been said when a goals been scored, Tins too soft a material man. The signs looks class though tbf.
 
If you’re even noticing this happening in the ground I’d maybe suggest you aren’t doing your celebration right. Obviously those underneath it I’m not including in that. I’m only a couple of blocks away from it and never notice it at the time, suppose it just blends in as white noise amongst all the other noise. Don’t really care how it sounds on tele either because I’m at the match not watching at home.
