I’m surprised we are appealing. RLB basically admitted that under the current laws the decision was correct.
I’m not sure I can see them changing the punishment on this one.

Maybe the rules will change out of season, but it feels too late in the season for them to punish him differently to others that have done the same earlier in the season

Not losing out anything by appealing are we ? Or can they extend his ban into next season?

The panel needs to watch it in real time and wind thier f***ing necks in. Even just reduce it to one game ban, but they must do something to show that they agree with the entire rest of the sane world that it wasn't violent conduct

I’d imagine they can extend frivolous appeals into the next season, but I honestly don’t know

Hair nets or hair cuts next season. It's a workplace environment at the end of the day and should be treated the same as earrings and necklaces.

If someone gets whipped in the eye of one of those long dreadlocks and goes down, then there's no reason why that player shouldn't be sent off for violent conduct under these current fuckwit rules.

On the basis there was two instances between the last red card and Ballard's that weren't given

I think its worth a shot, won't lose anything by doing it

This will be overturned because on further viewing there was no intent.

I trust the FA panel experts to make the right call now the decision had been widely criticised.

It’s a contentious rule. Ballard accidentally got his hair when he’s trying to grapple with him. It’s never violent conduct, it’s worth contesting the 3 match ban.
In women’s football the lasses have to tie up their hair to avoid this issue. Should be the same for men with long hair.

It would be difficult to accuse RLB of making a frivolous appeal. He is so respectful in everything he says and does. He said the referee is a great referee, we do not want to be controversial and want to support the game and the Premier League.

I can’t think of any other manager who conducts himself so well in all situations.

There have been two previous Red Card appeals for this ‘offence’ and while neither were accepted, there was no extension either. They stayed at 3 games out for ‘violent conduct’
