Just checking here, you think he intended to pull the strikers hair in the hopes the cameras wouldn't see it? I'm lost like.
 
There's an image of him floating around already where he has hold of his hair and it's no.longer anywhere close to the lads collar. So even if the original aim was to hold his collar (which looks.umlikely) there's now a good could of inches between the lads hair and collar.

I think it’s impossible not to - he’s a centre half hes trying to dominate, he’s grabbing back, shoulder, shirt of his centre forward every game. Hes not thinking about pulling his hair just to grapple anything as he does every week. It’s ridiculous that going out with long hair / dreadlocks gives you an advantage imo

You think he has the size of a shirt to grab hold of and somehow manages to grab a piece of hair, not realise and keep hold of it till it's a good two inches away from his shirt or collar?

That would take some doing.

I think your forgetting what it’s like in the midst of battle on a football pitch, you are grabbing at everything around you to hold up a player, find your balance.
As Palm1 said in boxing it has to be tied up.
This is elite sport it’s ridiculous that hair pulling can be a thing.
All unnecessary bits should be removed be it jewellery, piercings, glasses, …. And hair should be tied back
