Awful Journalism this morning

Far too easy these days to degrade Sunderland both as a city and as a FC and lick their hoops with the potential opportunities it might bring. The sad and annoying thing is, it's amplified now we're at this level. '

The whole 'richest club in the world' tag - of course it gives you an advantage but in real terms, it's results on the pitch that matter.

They will survive this year but they are still well behind the established clubs like United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc and even 'new rich' like Chelsea and City are streets ahead.

Won't find it anywhere near as easy as they are expecting to 'break' into that level.

But it's nothing new having the local media wank over them. Happened for best part of 30 years. Part of the reason I hate them so much.

Stop going to the game and put enough pressure on the ownership, that KLD buys out the rest, or new ownership appears and cross your fingers they're are any better. One thing was certain to me from the day Keane was linked and his signature would have convinced me that the rotten core(bad ownership) had really gone.
Ok. I also want them gone. Given you think getting behind a new manager is wishful thinking and being blind to the truth, do you have an alternative, considering we have 14 games left to play.

Did he ask him if he was a real journalist? That’s a question for a pissed up talk in at Benwell club not a press conference.

Real Madrid are the richest club in the world. The mags are nowhere near it. Big difference owners wealth and club wealth.

That's the killer psychological issue i.e. we could still get promoted through the playoffs and many people can't bare not been involved. I've stated a promotion with the current rotten core(ownership), could see us relegated again and that you have to see as the nail in the proverbial coffin for this club.

If they are the richest club they will be irrelevant and they'll forget about us. It's not as if they stole Chris Wood from under the noses of City and PSG though.

At the moment they're just the annoying fella next door who pressure washes his BMW 1 Series at 7 o'clock on a Sunday morning. At least when Alex Ferguson complained about noisey neighbours United were a titan of European football. Al Mubarak wasn't photo shopping his head onto Paul Dickov tucking away a penalty against Oldham.
Fergie almost made city relevant with comment. He did tgem a favour. Not sure newcastle really are that relevant

It was after they'd signed Tevez. That's my point though. City were punching up and taking on the establishment. Quite why 'The Richest Club in the World' is bothering with a League One side is baffling.

If we were irrelevant we'd not be mentioned. The fact they've got a client journalist fishing for click bait to remind the unwashed they're above us in the league seems odd.
