away fans at the sol...

Why can’t they go in the south west corner and along the west stand? One segregation fence and partition doors are already there, they’d just have to install another set in the west stand. Out of shot of camera there too

Executive boxes and I doubt the club would want them next to the cooperate seats in the west stand

If the singing end currently requires the team to be playing fantastic before they'll sing, thrn surely makes sense to have the away fans close by to get them going as well?
Or better still, get behind the lads, even if the footie isn't scintillating

Cos there’s loads of people that have sat there for since 1997 & shouldn’t have to be moved. Also, the side of the pitch is a better view than behind the goal, why would you give prime seating to away fans. Then there’s the fact of how you’d accommodate those fans that have sat there for decades, in groups, how are you going to reseat them in a equivalent seat elsewhere? There’s 5 of us. Very few match day sales in my area. Why move a section of supporters that fill the stand every match?

When the fans were moved to the North Upper, there’ll have been very few that needed assistance. It was empty most matches anyway.

they are loud and must give there team a lift like preston yesterday im a season ticket holder in the north stand and although its been debated on here before i wish the club would put the away fans in another part of the ground and our supporters up there it would make the atmosphere in the north stand ten times better.
Don’t agree shifting them would make the North any better either tbh. Those who want to join in with the atmosphere are all in the south

Keep them where they are.

The nuggets calling for them to be moved to where our fans have now been sat for years would be the first to complain if they were moved to a different part of the ground.

Our fans come first , end of.

Anyone on here, saying move them to other parts of ground, that I'd imagine isn't there seats, would you give up your regular seat that you're suggesting others should do?

Problem is, is that if we ever get promoted back to the PL we will have to rearrange the seating so away fans are pitch side, or at least a small section of them. It was a ruling by the PL (so I'm led to believe) a few years ago.

Went on the Stamford Bridge tour last year and the guide said Jose had the away fans moved from near the dugouts because he was sick of being abused

you is the link. Fourth paragraph tells you all about it.

Easy solution is to restrict a club like Preston to a maximum of 100 fans which would be the approximate number they would bring to Roker in the old Second Division in the late seventies. Otherwise just accept that the world is a different place now. Away fans travel in huge numbers and are noisy. Just like us years ago. Now everyone else has caught up with us.

I'd move them down to the NEC and shift those there into the north stand which is very rarely full anyway. The south stand / family section is always full.

If communicated correctly, the club could handle this quite easily. Even give those moving an incentive to do so.

Which can be overridden if the police or the local Ground Safety Committee deem otherwise. That's why the away supporters are still in low earth orbit at the mosque - that's what NP want.

I thought it was because the owner at the time, MA looked it it but because of the lay out of the lower tiers it wasnt possible.

I do stand to be corrected as you have already explained.

Everydays a school day as the say

I wouldn’t pay thousands a year to have away fans right in front of me taunting me during the game.

It’s hardly rocket science is it.
I used to be a guest in the last box at the south side of the ground, not far from the away fans at all. I remember the Man Fans asking me the score on the TV when Aguero won it for city. It was never a problem.

What about when the mags come to town?

I remember in some of the early derbys at the SOL and mags were in the boxes and our lot were trying to climb over to get at them.

The South East corner seems the most logical to me if we’re wanting to preserve the South Stand.
