The other thing is, authorities automatically demonising and treating entire groups of travelling football fans as if they were criminals is Thatcher-like rhetoric. Massive step in the wrong direction.

So does any real man.I do
Exactly. This hasn't been thought through at all.Steward - ‘Excuse me Sir, please can you open your wallet and remove all the cards and receipts. And now remove your pocket lining from your trousers and put your socks and shoes over there ready for scanning. I know it’s cold Sir but now your need to remove your outer clothing and mid layers. Just need to ensure you’ve not got a penny hidden anywhere’
Cardiff fan - ‘No worries but you should know I’ve given 3 vapes, a pocketful of coins, some pyro and some glass to my kids to take in, you can’t touch them.’
So if an away fan uses a £5 note to buy a programme, what does he/she do with the change??Impossible to police. I bet the charity buckets outside the away turnstiles will be fuller than normal though
Hopefully he gets a £5 note backExactly. This hasn't been thought through at all.

Great reaction from the club thisFollowing a request made on Thursday morning, the EFL have agreed that coins and vapes will no longer be permitted in the away section of the North Stand at the Stadium of Light.

A fortune is a lot of coinsAbout time.....coins???......so their money will be confiscated lol.....stewards will make a fortune
Don't choose the Rotherham home game then. Be lucky to get enough for a overnight stay in Hartlepool.I want to be a Steward searching for coins on match day in the away section......will pay for my holidays
The club can’t hide behind EFL approval for a net now then when they’ve green lighted this pretty quickly.
I'm pretty sure that's what it means though, moving the kids to accommodate the away fans
They can’t stop people with pyro canisters what are over 100mm big generally but suddenly there’re going to be able to stop people with coins. The reality is; the EFL probably approved it knowing that we are in the process of moving the away fans.
It also wouldn’t surprise me if they were moved downstairs pretty quickly as the club will now be extremely concerned over any further incidents.
The security on Saturday will be mental mind. I do feel sorry for genuine Cardiff fans but Christ knows what pressure is now being piled on the club due to their failure to act in the past
What are they meant to do until the fans are shifted though? They can’t stop people with pyro canisters what are over 100mm big generally but suddenly there’re going to be able to stop people with coins.
The hierarchy are clueless man.
They’ve had multiple opportunities over the last 4 years to sort something out. Net and Perspex screen as proven works around Europe. What are they meant to do until the fans are shifted though?
