Australia v England, 3rd Test, 16th December , 23.30

It’s not his fault that he gets selected, but having said that, there should be no room for bits and pieces cricketers at Test level.

All selections should be on merit as a batter, bowler or genuine all rounder.

He’s none of the above
But isn't that a really bad look for the setup when they've basically thrown Jacks in totally unexpectedly when they have prepped for this series for several years... It's just chaos planning

It certainly is and unfortunately not that much of a surprise.

I mean no full time wicket keeper, let alone a back up, and only one reserve batsman.

Too many fast bowlers in the initial squad, one who was always going to breakdown and 🤞with Archer and Stokes.

Glad I haven't wasted any time or sleep on this utter shit show of a tour.
Unlike me... I went to the 1st test in Perth and have been staying until 1.30 am in the UK watching the first sesh of subsequent tests 🙄. I've then recorded the other 2 sessions and watched them later "as live" after avoiding the score.

Never mind.

My concern is that play is about to start and i have pretty much a full bottle of navy rum and somehow will be out tomorrow night :p

still think Lyon should have played in the last test.
Benjamin starting 8-)

Get your frustration mate, but he did spend most of the match in the middle tbf and it's not his fault the batting order made a pigs breakfast of things.
I suspect he could have bowled yesterday but that his body was In the 'red zone' and he was more likely to get an injury.

The bloke spent an entire day in the field then faced over 30 overs in 40 degree heat whilst his team mates crumbled.

Think it would have been sensible for Root or Brook to take over Captaincy yesterday just to let Stokes switch off mentally

Can't disagree mate, he's more than given enough this series.
