Australia ashes disarray

I'm putting a tenner on 5-0

Only the weather will stop us. I honestly think that the home series is a given, and that we a great chance of pummeling them in their back yard. I'm going to go for 9-0 over the two series.

I wish people would be a lot less English and get bullish about our team. It isn't the 1980's, we aren't shite, and there are no standout teams to touch the Windies et al of that era.

I think we'll batter the bastards.

Aussie finish bottom of their group and are dumped out of the champions trophy. Clarke still crocked. Rumours of a split in the camp with Watson looking particularly unhappy. Aussie cricket administrators publicly criticising Warner and not forgetting the India tour disintegration .There are some below average international players in their team and according to Both - the worst Aussie side he has seen. It's just a shame that they do not have a warm up game against England lions as Aussie would get rolled.

Great chance for back to back ashes victories. Our batting's the key for me . . Bat well and get runs on the board we'll out bowl them no bother. Batting's a bit unpredictable of late . .hopefully KP back and hungry.

Their batting line-up is absolute piss, take Clarke out of that and there's county line-up's who would give them a run for their money.

I do think they have plenty decent bowlers mind, without having anyone really top class.

I wouldn't go that far.

It depends on their mindset

It will be interesting how Pattison goes. Only seen a bit of him but he's looked absolutely excellent swinging it at real pace.

Worst touring side since 1989. We all know how that turned out!

Watson and Clarke aside, I don't see any threat from Australia. They may take a test but (weather permitting) I expect 3-0 or 3-1 (hopefully we won't win the first 3 and it'll still be competitive when it comes to DCCC)

If I had to pick a side from Eng and Aus it'd be:

Cook
Watson
Trott
Pietersen
Clarke
Root
Prior
Broad
Swann
Anderson
Finn

For me

We've won the last two Ashes series when both teams have been more even. IMO, we're much better, but as others have said, we will make it more complicated than it is. I don't think the Aussies should be underestimated though, if we do, then it will most likely cost us. Hopefully Clarke isn't fit for them.

IMO, we'll win 2-0 or 2-1, when in truth it should be a more comfortable win. I'd take a narrow win though.
