Zero complaints.

Just hope that Pope can come good again.

Cos don't really understand how Bairstow as a specialist bat stays in the side. Averages about 7 higher.

But think he might do something better in the context of making this series less shit

Crawley is worse than Burns, but you couldn't not drop him and maintain healthy competition for places. Bairstow for Pope no arguments. Leach will get punished again, not sure about that. Wood needs to play every game he can.
Think it's England drawing a line under Burns' career now - hameed is very lucky imo after the last test.
Pope had to drop out (time for him to come again but he needs to do a bell and score heavily) and whilst I don't agree with Bairstow getting another chance - he's performed well in Australia in the last and will improve our fielding.
Wood was obvious.
Leach...whilst I agree he's better then Bess, given the amount of left handers in the Australia line-up id have preferred Bess, they are going to attack the spinner either way and Bess would trouble the outside edge and is handy with the bat.

I think Burns should have remained over Crawley, who basically hasn’t batted for three months. If Pope had to go I’d have brought Lawrence in over Bairstow.

Bowling looks about right though abd that’s the main thing.

I’d give Bairstow the gloves as well

I hope Root acts tougher with the bowlers to bowl the right line and stop been mr nice guy to them. He admitted the last 2 tests that they didnt as the bowlers took over
A weak captain. The whole 'bowling the wrong length' after the match illustrated that perfectly. If he didn't manage to change that during the match because the bowlers ignored him then that's poor.

I would have stuck with Burns not because he had earned it simply because of the lack of prep for others and timd at the crease in the second innings at Adelaide. No complaints tho and a good opportunity for all of our batsmen on what should be the flattest track of the series.

I think it’s right to pick Leach but on the only test of the 3 he should have been an absolute shoo in he was left out and plays in the other 2

Crawley and Bairstow really hope they do well.

At least if they do get in and bat a while they maybe able to more the score on a bit.

Can we be confident they will do well the answer has to be no.

But they can’t do no worse than than Burns and Pope surely!

I am still concerned our spin options are incredibly weak but can only pick what you have I guess

I’ll be disappointed if we lose as I would with any test, but I’d like us to actually make a game of it for a change. Don’t let them score 500 odd or get bowled out for less than 200.
