Australia 151-0 chasing 270

Only posted this thread to say what the fuck is England's team selection all about? Buttler at 8 and a whole host of bits and pieces cricketers. It's like we're back in the 90's with this sort of selection; and surely we have better bowlers than Boyd Rankin, never an international cricketer in a million years that lad.

What the hell was that team they put out! Only consolation is we have plenty of batting talent in the odi format. Bresnan has to go

f***ing hell just when I'd forgotten all about the limited overs stuff you had to go and remind me. Cheers

Yet more misery to endure.

Totally forgot about this, would it be fair to say that this is yet another game that the Aussies won with ease?

Buttler at 8, stranded on 34*. What is the point in having a natural hitter so far down the order. Has to be at 6 or 7. Why Joe Root is in the side is beyond me. Has struggled for fluency and form all tour.

 Aye, 6 wickets and 5 overs to spare.

England's fielding was embarrassing, nearly as much as the team selection itself. Keeper/batsman at 8 ffs.

I still cannot see why they pick Bopara. Never scores big runs and rarely takes wickets on a regular basis. Supposed to be a one-day specialist - don't think so.

17 and 6 overs for 30 is not good enough.

He was one of our best players in our last ODI series iirc.

It's bad enough that we have a negative approach to the game in tests 5, but it's just bizarre that we adopt negative tactics to ODI batting

Same old crap, top 4 batting as if it's a test match leaving the likes of Morgan, Bopara and Buttler too much ground to make up. It comes off about once every 10 games, why are we the only side in world cricket who consistently try to play ODI cricket in this manner???

Root is just going backwards, he needs to go back to county cricket for a while before his confidence is totally shot at international level.
