Popularity in the national game is now through the roof. Most clubs regardless of current status or tradition are drawing huge crowds. It is no surprise that Sunderland sold as many season tickets and it will not surprise me if the turn out against QPR is near 40000.

1,000 a day for that to happen

West Ham have sold 55,000 season tickets. Bristol City, highest attendance in years - yes - Football is in a boom.

Sounds a lot but it will be interesting to see if the win on Saturday and the fact that this is a traditional kick off time will gave an impact. If QPR have sold nearly 800 that is impressive.

Well it’s all relative.
Numbers wise they’ve never been a well supported club that’s just the way it is.
I’ve always thought they’re a club who punch above their weight.
In the last 50 odd years apart from 2 or 3 seasons they’ve always been in the top 2 divisions.
So if they push a 1000 for this it’s probably a good effort.
2 defeats so far

QPR 769 is poor
For a small London club who averaged 14000 last season I think it is decent. That would be the typical number they brought up in the Premier League and many more than the 100 or so to Roker. Also , the majority of their away support will probably live in and around West London therefore will all have to travel the full distance up here unlike the away support of North East clubs when playing in London.
