Attendance Thread - Norwich City

As a percentage, it gets lower as the amount of cash increases. The problem for SAFC is the relatively low value in relation to the cost. It's also possible that some still get staff to do it (which would make their insurers very nervous)

Incredibly bad practice, frowned on by insurers, and potentially a breach of duty of care to employees. The club would certainly be liable if anything happened.
But there’s measures you can take and certainly not unheard of. If the cash is relatively low it’s a calculated risk, over a certain point it can be put in a safe and alternative measures taken.

In the context of 200 x £30 tickets it is. Part of what I deal with.
Good to know. Big bad banks a myth

@CollingwoodFTM Any update from AA regarding away ticket sales?

The bank my choir uses charges 8% just to make a cash deposit. On top of that, there's the cost of secure collection, which I've not had to get involved with.
There's no way that every business is paying them sort of rates. I know for a fact that Asda Sunderland gets around £60-70k collected every 3 days or so and they won't be paying 8% of that out, not a chance.

The money from a cash turnstile is around what, even 100 people it'll be about £2500-3200.

That's not alot of money at all to a business.

Undoubtedly not. I can bank a certain amount per month for free, after which it hits.

If I'm being vague, it's because we don't take cash.

It would pay for 2 full time ticket office staff for a month
A large percentage of that estimate would have/could have bought tickets on line, the rest is pure speculation.
The club is not going to do this, full stop.

So as I’ve said before, if anyone feels that strongly, go to the club and volunteer your services to find a solution to those people wanting to attend the match but don’t have IT or a bank account.
Trying to prove a point on this forum is not going to change anything despite the “whataboutery” .

A couple of weeks ago you’d have said the club were “not going to do it. Full stop” about the club shop and ticket office. The push to make everything online is being resisted and they’re being forced to listen.

Bizarre post.

I've not tried to prove any point or even criticised them for it. Simply pointing out that it isn't 'very expensive' to bank money like claimed. Think you need to calm down.

4 weeks ago the Ticket Office didn't open more than 20 hours a week.
And we were told that the Club couldn't afford for it to be open any more than that.

After whataboutery here and elsewhere, together with pressure from fans groups the TO is now open 35 hours per week plus extra hours on matchday.

Cheers Bob. I’ll update the worm after work.

Nothing since she spoke to their TO manager. But she has been busy preparing to look after 40 idiots this weekend. Large scale care in the community.

How much preparing can you do when dealing with idiots given their (our) loose cannon instincts?
I assume they will take them off sale soon. Ideal time for am update.

(btw, I am travelling down after the match, due to P'boro 17:48, if I catch a 17:51 then eta BSE 19:40. If the connection goes wrong it's 20:45)
