Attendance Thread - Coventry City (Play-Off 2nd Leg)

Never forget when they constantly gave away free tickets

Will never understand how that was a bad thing or a reason to laugh at the mags.

That first one says they still had 42k there, hardly a bad crowd.

Never understood the tit for tat for years when we both always got great crowds, based on our respective areas and performance.

They’ve got memory blanks mate none of that ever happened sellooooooots every week man gordie naaaayshaun showed up.
There isnt a fanbase on earth that rewrites history like the mags do.

When Shearer took them down in 2008 they were down to 36,000 a week for their first Championship stint. 17,000 empty season seats.

Always someone to come along and talk the mags up

Thats 10,000
Empty seats? They’d flat out deny this ever happened all whilst absolutely BERATING safc for not selling out weekly on the back of 9 seasons out the top flight.

Aye and their stupid twats.

Easy to just ignore them. Never once have me best pals that are all mags gone on about attendance to me cos they ain't twats.

Plenty of stupid twats have though over the years. I always just go well we've both got good attendances and it baffled them that I was praising them, they soon shut up.

The fact we've got people even bringing up the mags before our biggest game in years, is some laugh anyway.

History and reality s lost on them man.

I remember them playing West Ham at home , late 80s , met me mate who’s a mag after the match and there was I’d say 14000 there.

What does SB stand for?
Sports Bar (the original name of Quinn's). There's three areas: A, B & C.
If you look at the three blocks behind, there's DBA, DBB & DBC, which is the Directors' Box.
Either side of that is EXA, EXB & EXC, which is Executive (Corporate Hospitality on the level above Quinn's and the Montgomery Suite).

They are relentless having a go at our crowds, so its natural some give it back. Whilst most know they have decent support (not as good as they think mind) they haven't been tested anything like what we have in the last 30 years.

Simply, it's their go to insult on just about every social media page going. Hardly surprising there's a lot of retaliation.

It’s pointless getting into an attendance debate with them as frankly out of all the seasons of existence (120 odd?) weve bettered their average about 20 times. Several of them whilst we had the SoL and they were redeveloping.

Don’t see why people get so worked up about it. Given the relative sizes of the cities and our f***ing dismal performance even relative to those useless kernts - our attendances are f***ing spectacular. We
don’t need to answer to anyone

I can top that, Wrexham at home circa 1978 iirc. Pissing rain 4,700 or so, match abandoned after about 15 minutes. None of them can ever remember that one though......I was in the Farmers Rest with some of them, half of whom didn't even bother going out the door......
