Attendance Thread - Blackburn Rovers

The club should employ you with such insight. Considering your lack of concern for customers perhaps you already are.

Well the fact that neither SAFC, or any other Championship club openly let 9,000 kids in for a quid every home game suggests that it's yourself lacking insight, or should that be common sense? If it was such a good idea don't you think there'd be at least one club doing it? For some reason you're constantly looking to knock the club for trivial matters. You're a very strange bloke if you don't mind my saying so.

Don’t mind at all and wit is not your strong point.

I’m not knocking the club at all. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism though. The pricing structure for season tickets is good and should be encouraged.

However, we know the NE is a hotbed for football - what is wrong with being proactive and getting more families on low income into the sol in the middle of a cost of living crisis? Just because other clubs aren’t doing it doesn’t mean to say we shouldn’t.

If I’m a strange bloke for wanting that fair enough. Are you mr Davison?

Gate reciepts are the number one source of income for the club. Slashing prices to virtually free for a large % of people isn't going to end well which is why we, nor any other team we're competing against do it. Our home crowds are more or less on a par with what we were getting in the PL, taking into account away support is lower in the Championship. The numbers are huge. We aren't in a position where we need to devalue the product to the point where its almost free to get in.

Aside from that you'll have people getting tickets and then deciding they can't be bothered to turn up and because they've basically paid nothing for the ticket it doesn't matter and you'd be faced with locking full paying supporters out because of that.

The more you think about it, the worse an idea it is tbh. Of all the things to have a go at the club at, not offering affordable football isn't one of them.

You miss the point completely as you actually grow the fan base but I’m sure you will carry on. I pity any kid at the Sol that has to sit next to you I’ll give you that. 😀

If it was that simple, every club with 1000s of empty seats would be doing it. I assume you'd be charging every kid a pound and not just these 9,000s newbies?

In effect it would cost the club money in extra stewarding, policing and stadium operational costs, then you'd have 1000s of kids there who aren't really all that arsed, annoying the regular supporters. the stadium would look daft with people just constantly milling around the place. I can only assume you don't bother with home cup games as you'd have seen all this first hand.

Well he certainly didn't listen to clowns like your and thankfully neither will KLD. I rather like the idea of my club not being in administration thanks to not devaluing its main revenue source to the point of virtually giving it away for free!
