Athletic article - if Ref and Var decisions were corrected

Sorry if Seb, couldn’t see it anywhere else.

Athletic article on the table if Ref and var decisions were correct. We would have been 11th apparently.

It says our pen against Bournemouth was wrong (?) and ONien should have conceded a pen against Leeds (which I agree with) and Enzo should have had one at Bournemouth (correct).

Doesn’t say owt about Ballard, or even the one we should have had at home against a team I can’t remember when it hit the defenders outstretched hand (it was in the SW corner?).

Against Everton. Hit Michael Keane’s arm. Was a blatant pen.

That was Everton on Monday Night Football, a nailed on penalty but VAR didn't look at it so it doesn't get counted.

It's why Everton fans screaming the place down about not getting a VAR decision in their favour all season is ridiculous.

Yes I can't work this out from the article. Are they saying they're going beyond what the KMI panel did? So they're already factoring in the apologies we've had?

If not, then the whole thing is a bit silly because it doesn't mention things like Keane or Konate. Why it mentions Alex Scott's foul on Reinildo, I don't know

People really need to get a grip on what a VAR decision is. Theres a lot of articles but people keep associating a VAR none-decision and a VAR decision but they are not the same, statistically speaking. And are not included in any of these things.

A VAR decision is one that changes what the referee did. If what happens is the same as what the referee did it is not a VAR decision. Everton got no VAR decisions in their favour. Though the Athletic article includes referee decisions too.

Ballard pulled the blokes hair
No matter our views on the nature, it was an offence punishable by red
Stupid inexcusable balls up by Ballard

Useless stat for a team like us who have so many points from losing positions as we would have reacted strongly had we not got VAR decisions in our favour.

I feel as if generally we have had the rub of the green this season.

These articles are always daft, the only difference between the O'Nien situation and the many many times Ballard was "fouled" on corners is that Leeds whinged about it.

I mean, it wasn't really, 09 against Leeds was blatantly a penalty.
