With the Mags almost nailed on for promotion and ourselves relegation certainties under Dour Davie do you think the Mags will wait for mathematical certainty before ordering their banner towing plane or as it has been getting under their skin for a long time will they succumb to temptation and release it for one or more games prior to season finale ?

I have to be honest and say that I couldn't give a fuck.

This club needs to sort its own problems out; and we do not need to be distracted by a club that's won fuck all for 50 years, has lost to us (at our shittest) six times in a row, and has been relegated twice since we were last promoted to the top flight.

One of the biggest problems that SAFC has is that a sizeable minority of our fans consider the mags to be some sort of bench mark. They're not a bench mark, they are shite. We need to stop worrying about them, and they us. Then we might end up with a north east football base that can offer more than one trophy every half century.

"We may be shit, but it's ok because you're shitter" cannot be good enough.

If they want to get their own back they really need to think of something different to a plane. I despise them and am totally pissed off that we will be swapping places at the end of the season. However them sending a plane over when we have already done it twice would be boring, they need to think of something new for it to have any effect.

The first time we did it, it was in response to their plans to do it but they couldn't organise it. No guarantee they'd be able to organise it this time either. If they do then they do. I'd warrant a guess there will be a banner on the Wearmouth Bridge as well. We've done that twice too. We will just have to take the stick that'll come if we are relegated
