Asteroid City. The smb will know

I’m going to have to watch it again as it flew right over my head the first time
Most of the movie you are watching the play. Then there's a few scenes outside of the play, mainly with Edward Norton's character and Jason Schwartzman as an actor

Tried to watch on a flight last week, got about 30 minutes in and turned it off. Maybe it's me but I couldn't get into it.

I usually like Wes Anderson films but really struggled to get into this one.
Visually it was great but the rest I found completely unengaging.
Might give it another go though, it's possible I just wasn't in the mood when I watched it.

Most things on Sky are arty farty or luvvie back slapping crap.
IMO of course
Hate stuff like Oscars or Sci fi bumph
But I’m probably going off topic

I've seen it and enjoyed it. I do like Wes Anderson films tbh.

It's the story of a play called Asteroid City, wherein the main character (Jason Schwartzman) and his kids go to Asteroid City for a junior scientists awards ceremony as the eldest is a participant. Many others come to town for it and all of the kids participating are geniuses. The town gets locked down by the US gov't/military due to alien activity.

My description isn't great, but that's the basics.
I went to the pictures to see it. Exactly as above. Quirky and beautifully shot
