To coach England in ODI and T20

Ashley Giles, Warwickshire's director of cricket, has been appointed the head coach of England's ODI and T20 teams, paving the way for Andy Flower, England team director, to take significant breaks from touring.

Flower will continue to be have full accountability for England cricket and will continue to tour with the England Test side but he will no long be responsible for the day to day leadership of the ODI and T20 teams.

Players can't pick and choose their tours/formats but coaches can?

Either way, positive move for England as Giles has done well for Warwickshire and hopefully having a designated coach it will allow for better performances as we won't be picking bits-and-pieces players but one day specialists.

Players can choose formats. You can retire from test cricket and play limited overs and vice versa. But not pick and choose between limited overs. Flower is following the criteria set

its a positive move, they obviously see tkos as a replacement if and when flower decides hes had enough. getting him around the squad and gaining international experience will be good for him

King of Spain is recovering at a hospital in Madrid from hip surgery he underwent Friday.
