Ashes Predictions

But 5 nowt?

I'm not afraid of them in the slightest. There main man is out. Let's see what they're made of.

Just what I think will happen. Over here, I think it would have been a close series. But I think sensible, old school test cricket with some of the world's best bowlers on hard wickets will win every test.

Score - 3-2 Australia
Player of the series - Aus - Smith Eng - Root
Most Runs - Aus - Smith Eng - Root
Most wickets - Aus - Starc Eng - Atkinson
Will Stokes play all 5 Tests? No

Dunno. But I’ll make some of my own predictions

Hazelwood to miss at least 2 tests
Carey to play a really annoying innings when we’re on top
Bashir to play only 1 test and get some tap
Brook to laugh when getting out at least once
Australia to end the series with 2 totally different openers
Root to score a double ton
Cummins to act like a smug prick

Not when they all fit and firing?

The question is will they be fit enough not whether they good enough imo
They're good enough on hard, fast, true wickets but they're never fit enough to do it consistently.Aussie wickets are no longer so as Steven Smith has recently commented and Scott Boland's figures consistently confirm. Problem is there's a lack of medium fast seamers such as Potts who has been sadly below par recently. Hopefully He and Atkinson can peak.

Our bowling attack is toothless without Archer and Wood (they won’t play every test). Cant see us winning a game.

Australia 2-1.

I'm hoping we'll win 4 tosses out of five, bat and get at least 3 decent first innings scores. We'll only be able to force one win out of the three, two will be drawn. Australia to batter us in one and sneak a second somewhere.

Man of the series - Dan Ballard

Think the result will be 3-2 either way can’t see any drawn test matches unless rain intervenes.

Think the result depends on the fitness of our players especially Stokes.

Think we will win 3-2 and Stokes will be soo up for it and so determined he will carry this team to an Ashes victory!

Or it could go the other way and injury to him and our bowlers could lose it for us.

If we keep our players fit think we have great chance just to big a if to be confident

Yeh but if you think our bowlers will remain fit you're clearly not thinking clearly-it's not a realistic option. Nor is the assumption that Aussie tracks remain hard flat tracks.

Yeah I agree like I said it’s too big a if to be confident they will stay fit.

That’s why it’s hard to predict the outcome of the series for me because too much relies on fitness.

Well with Hazelwood also out of the 1st test and Wood cleared odds certainly shifting England's way. Mind whether we should risk Wood with such little practise is highly debatable. Not has Carse bowled yet.
Carse now bowling- got McKenney
