Ashes Predictions Thread

This is the first thread about the first test, so if anything any new ones would merge into this one.

That's the rules isn't it?

Quick, someone get the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Test threads started now!!!
I’m leaving this now as I’m in conversation on pm

I don’t want to push my luck too much and get a ban

I’ll just have to hope the 99% of cricket forum regulars post threads I can see and I not merged into HLs

We’ll support you evermore ✊

Personally think we have to be brave and play our new style even if we get a couple knock backs (and the criticism that comes with it).
Better to die fighting than go meekly to the slaughter.

Exactly and they will, this is a brave side that has completely transformed our test side from players playing under pressure and to playing with freedom and confidence.

Everything that has happened in this last year imo should fill people with confidence going into this series.

Not sure what more the team could have done this last year to give fans more confidence and entertainment going into this series.

Too much negativity going around imo around selections etc etc.

Let’s have faith in Stokes and McCullum and enjoy the ride :D

Because win or lose it’s going to be a good watch!!

I see my thread has been moved, can anyone explain why? Its acceptable for posters to post well in advance of an event, well some posters/spammers anyhow

No real reason for the merge which has nothing to do with it but apparently its more than 8 days away from the event. I suppose it makes sure Hetton spammer gets in to clog the board again.

I would also like to say that responding to a message to anything that has been reported is pretty shit on here

Given the lack of red balls hit by the likes of Root, Brook and Stokes I don’t think we’ve given ourselves the best chance we can. I get the money aspect but there’s a parallel universe where they focused on Ashes prep ruthlessly.

I don’t think it helps as much as you think, head hasn’t played an innings since March

Top England Run Scorer: Root
Top England Wicket Taker: Robinson
Top Aussie Run Scorer: Labuschagne
