He would have done better than jimmy let alone rankin. Onions balls it in the right areas consistently something which our bowlers haven't done.

And cook really needs to take a long hard look at himself has he has been pathetic in every aspect this series.
 
Someone needs to be checking Alastair Cook's recent betting patterns.

Not that I'm suggesting he's got a hefty wedge on an Aussie whitewash like. Wouldn't dream of suggesting that!

strauss was in no way a better captain than cook, field placements where every bit as defensive, static and unimaginative. difference was our batsmen scored runs and our bowlers took wickets and our fielders caught balls that came near them.

I don't really mind nas or athers. Strauss is horrific but sky really shouldn't have hired him as a commentator when he is so close to this England side plus he has one of the msot boring f***ing voices.

i don't mind athers, i quite like nasser but they need the right people to work with. maybe i'm being harsh on strauss as he hasn't had so much time to build a rapport with them, but he is just total pish compared to either of them and they're too samey to need another one

well chuffed for the lad - just another point about the lad, he has made his debut as our only main spinner -
[letting rogers ease through the 90s to get his hundred off pietersen, what the fuck was that about?]
making his debut as a leg spinner and the lad doesn't even get to bowl much passed lunch on day 3 and he still takes 3-27 or 37 whatever it was.... tail end whilst theyre having a slog or not the boy done good. getting roger's wicket will have been special for him. shame for him and stokes it has come in this shambles of a series.

much like collingwood's 'career highlight' coming in the disaster of adelaide...

second point : stokes was the leading wicket taker in their first, the leading run scorer in our first and borthwick leading wicket taker in their second.

yep no arguements there very bizarre and yet stokes has came in and been the only positive of the series. Englands second highest run scorer(carberrys 2nd now by 1 run) and wicket taker and then scotty has done something no leggy has done since the 90s and take more than 1 wicket in an innings.
